PRACTICAL EXAM

I. The practical exam includes:

  1. Performing, on the vehicle maneuver area, tasks specified:
    1. in table no. 2 subject to 2 - according to the vehicle driving techniques and the criteria specified in table no. 4, if the person is being tested for one driving license category.
  2. b> for categories C,C1,D,D1,T,B+E, C+E,C1+E,D+E or D1+E performing on the vehicle maneuver area tasks specified in pts 1 and 2 of table 2 and in the set specified in table 3 - chosen randomly by the first person on the list of participants qualified for the exam - the examiner has to mark the chosen set in the second column of the list;
  3. performing the traffic exam programme:
    1. covering, subject to points 2 and 3, at least the tasks specified in table 7 - according to the traffic law and the vehicle driving techniques,
    2. within the time limit specified in table 8 subject to point 4,
    3. for B1 and B driving licence, the examiner may finish the exam after 25 minutes, providing that all required exam tasks have been completed and the result of the exam is positive.
    The examination route should be chosen, in order to ensure a minimal traffic density of 400 vehicles per hour for every lane.

II. Before starting the practical exam the examiner:

  1. checks the identity of people taking the exam an the complaisance of the data with the list of people qualified for the exam;
  2. in case of the presence of a leading instructor during an exam, the examiner checks his identity based on a valid ID of the driving instructor;
  3. checks if the rules of conducting the practical exam are understood by the participants;
  4. in case of a monitored exam, the examiner introduces himself to the participant in a manner allowing his first and last name and the license number of the car to be recorded.

III. During the practical exam:

  1. On the vehicle maneuver area, the exam tasks should be performed in the order specified in tables 2 and 5 subject to point 5;
  2. in the traffic, for A,A1 category, the examiner evaluates the exam tasks from another examination vehicle, driving behind the participant, with the ability of communicating with him through a radio,
  3. the examiner specifies the tasks which the participant has to perform and the direction of driving; the tasks cannot interfere with current traffic laws or be a threat to the traffic;
  4. when the examination vehicle for B1 driving license category is constructed in a way that makes it impossible for the examiner to be inside the vehicle, the exam is conducted as specified in point 2;
  5. for A1 or A driving licence, the examination tasks specified in table 2 are performed in the following manner: item 1, item 8, item 7.
  6. the examiner informs the participant about failed attempts: when the participant fails twice in the same task or when the exam is terminated, the examiner informs the participant about the negative result of the exam.;
  7. the examiner completes the exam course form, specified in model no. 7.

IV. The participant:

  1. passes the exam if he/she has successfully completed the tasks specified in pt 1;
  2. fails the exam if:

    a) he/she has failed twice to perform the task,

    b) circumstances specified in § 30, law 4, pts 1-6 and law 5 pts 1 of the regulation occur.
  3. during the course of the examination the participant has to correctly perform all the tasks specified in point 1

V. When evaluating the qualification of the participant the examiner pays special attention to:

  1. the manner of performing the maneuvers on the road;
  2. the behavior towards other traffic participants;
  3. the ability to evaluate potential or real threats on the road;
  4. effectiveness of reactions in case of a threat;
  5. driving culture and dynamics;
  6. manner of using vehicle control mechanisms.

VI. After finishing the practical exam, the examiner:

  1. informs the participant about the results of the exam; and if the result is negative - gives reasons for failing;
  2. marks the result of the exam on the list of people qualified for the exam;
  3. gives the participant a filled out form with information about the progress of the practical exam if the result is negative or positive. A copy of the information sheet is attached to the list of people qualified for the exam.
